Welcome to the Meigle Primary School website.

I am the Headteacher of both Meigle and Kettins Primary Schools. I have been in post since October 2019 and was permanently appointed to the position in July 2020. I take pride in the high expectations and aspirations that we have for our learners at Meigle Primary School. We encourage everyone to do their very best and provide opportunities for all to experience success in learning. We are currently revising our school values. I am ably assisted by my Principal Teacher, Mrs Fiona Tasker, together we lead the school community with enthusiasm and optimism.
I hope that you find this website useful and are able to navigate with ease to find information you may require. Please download the school app too for quick access to relevant information. We aim to work closely with our parents and wider community and communication is key.

Hallowe'en

Hallowe'en will land on the Friday of week one in term two. There are no events planned but if pupils wish to dress up to come to school then they can. Can we please ensure no masks or weapons are included as part of costumes and nothing too scary.
We will have a Halloween costume swap in the school office on Tuesday 28th October from 2.45pm. There will also be an opportunity to have a look at our pre-loved school uniform.

Coming Home Today...

Sharing the Learning jotter bags are coming home today. We hope you enjoy looking at a snaphot of some of this term's learning over the weekend. Please ensure all jotters are returned on Monday. Don't forget to fill in/sign the comment sheet.
Also in the jotter bags are this year's Cauliflower Card designs. The pupils have worked hard to produce some lovely artwork.  Follow the instructions and please make any orders online before returning the artwork to school on Monday. The school receives commission so this can be a great way of raising funds for our Meigle.
They are continuing to expand their options and so you can order cards, mugs, wrapping paper, gift labels, spiral bound notebooks or playing cards! All featuring your child’s design! We are hoping to purchase some new reading or numeracy resources with what we raise so please support if you can.
Thank you for your support.

Open Afternoon information

Good morning,
The pupils are designing and creating cosy and comfortable story spaces for our up coming open afternoon. If you have any blankets or cushions that you would be happy for us to borrow, could you please send them into school by Monday - named if possible.

On the day (6th October) pupils can bring onsies, oodies and slippers to wear during the story sharing in the afternoon.

We are working towards our Core Reading Schools Award and, as part of this, we are asking you to help us share the magic of reading with children across the world. If you can donate as little as £2, it will help us to reach children who have little, or no, access to books and reading. During the open afternoon there will be QR codes available for you to donate to our Just Giving page linked to Book Aid International. Please see the video link and attached document for more information about Story Space 2025 and who it aims to support.   https://youtu.be/mBsDivWJJcY

Thank you for your support.
