Welcome to the Meigle Primary School website.

I am the Headteacher of both Meigle and Kettins Primary Schools. I have been in post since October 2019 and was permanently appointed to the position in July 2020. I take pride in the high expectations and aspirations that we have for our learners at Meigle Primary School. We encourage everyone to do their very best and provide opportunities for all to experience success in learning. We are currently revising our school values. I am ably assisted by my Principal Teacher, Mrs Fiona Tasker, together we lead the school community with enthusiasm and optimism.
I hope that you find this website useful and are able to navigate with ease to find information you may require. Please download the school app too for quick access to relevant information. We aim to work closely with our parents and wider community and communication is key.

School Transport P7 pupils transferring to S1

Dear all

A reminder that if your child requires transport to high school from August, you must complete and application online.  The deadline is 10th May 2024.  More info is below and on the PKC Website.

Free School Transport

Applications for free school transport can also be complete online.  Please see further information below as a reminder of the criteria in order to be eligible for Free School Transport (Full details of eligibility criteria can be found on the PKC Website):

PKC Website

P7 Pupils Transferring to S1

P7 pupils who will be transferring to their catchment secondary school in August 2024 and living more than three miles away from the school (by the shortest available walking route) are also entitled to free school transport.   Applications must be submitted no later than 10 May 2024 if pupils who are entitled to free school transport wish to access transport to attend induction days which normally take place in June 2024.

Please note that for all through schools, entitlement to free school transport in Primary does not necessarily continue in Secondary and a new application form is required for any P7 pupil moving up to S1 who is currently accessing free school transport.

Video Games

While at school, a number of children are referencing games, like "Five Nights at Freddy's", which are not age or stage appropriate for primary school pupils.

The content of such horror-themed games/movies is oftenr eplicated by pupils in their play. This is challenging for us to tackle at school if such games are permitted at home.

Please support us by monitoring what is accessible.
